AMUC Div 1 Preview:

Burley Griffins (ACT)

By team captain

The Burley Griffins are an established unit, with many AMUC showings under their belt. How will their experience serve them in Hobart?

Team name

Burley Griffins

Give us a short history of your team

One of the oldest mixed clubs in the country, the club has competed at every AMUC since 2011, with a highest placing of fourth (2012) and winning spirit twice (2012 and 2014)
If you're a returning team, who's in and who's out from last years (or previous years) side?
Lots of new players, with several players moving up after playing for the club's 2nd team last year.
What are your goals for the tournament?
Have an awesome time, enjoy lots of hard fought games, push it as far as we can.

How would you sum up your team in 3 words?

Spirited, committed, lovely

Who should we be looking out for?

Nic Hodson, 17 year old Aussie junior rep; Miriam Downey Aussie junior rep (coincidentally dating Nic); Craig Graham's moustache

Who are you most looking forward to playing?

Teams from WA, Tassie, SA; players we don't get to play against all that often

What do you think of the 'endzone decides' rules?

Support it, as it allows teams to assess how their men or women compare to the opposing team's, and use this to their advantage

If your team was stranded on a desert island and you could only take one other team from AMUC, which would it be and why?
The most attractive team. Otherwise our friends at F-Troop.
