Team name
AUUC Flood
Give us a short history of your team
Flood is one of two teams participating from the Auckland University Ultimate Club. Flood is the premier team of the club, collecting together all the talent across the University. The club has progressed in recent years with membership tripling in the last 2 years. Flood placed 7th at last years NZMUC. .
If you're a returning team, who's in and who's out from last years (or previous years) side?
The team has changed significantly since last year, predominately due to the NZ U24 Womens team (containing 14 AUUC members) attending U22 Australian Nationals the same weekend as NZMUC.
Nevertheless, we have many great addtions such as up-and-coming star NZU20 Womens captain, Anna Crosby, and veteran AUUC member and NZ Womens representative, Hannah Coombridge.
What are your goals for the tournament?
Flood is looking to take down any opponent that comes in our way and have fun doing it.
How would you sum up your team in 3 words?
Resilient, Chilly, Youthful
Who should we be looking out for?
Watch out for Rachel Hiew in the endzone. Despite her small stature, she has lightning fast hands, which have led her to be one of Flood's top scorer's this season.
Long serving captain of the team and NZ U24 Men's player Jordan Tan will look to lead the team, through some of the toughest situations. You will be surprised out how quickly he can sprint and just wait till you see him laying out through the air.
