Paradigm

Give us a short history of your team
We were formed from the combination of two div 2 Albert Park League teams and a few other friends right before VMUC 2016 where we placed second behind Ellipsis.
Since then we have represented tournaments like longest day and Boracay, as well as another VMUC (2017 - 3rd place) one mixed nats (2016 - 14th place) and AOUGCC (2017 4th place).
If you're a returning team, who's in and who's out from last years (or previous years) side?
We lose two of our original members in Craig graham and Anthony Hawkins to the lures and vices of Europe as well as Maddie Prior and Genevieve Grose. However we have been busy in the transfer market to make sure we don’t run out of legs like we did last year. In October Simon-Smiley, Jarod Cowan, Rachael Mihatsch, Ashley Evans will don the paradigm kit for their first AMUC with us.

What are your goals for the tournament?
To be perfectly honest we always say we are a team that wants to party hard and play hard. However this tournament is our main preparation for the WUCC qualifiers in December so the results will not be as important as the lessons we take from it. Main goal is to finish above Hello Newman and Heads of state Empire.

How would you sum up your team in 3 words?

Hipsters and bogans

Who should we be looking out for?

Did you know Declan Frey played for Australia? Michael Ridley is the business manager of the Cup of Kings drinking Game franchise. Monica Ireland won’t let us call Peter Hitchener from her speed dial when we play Cup of Kings. Roman Falls has gotten better since he started.

Who are you most looking forward to playing?
Well, our rivalry the Hello Katie mob will be at the top of the list but we would love to pop our KAF and FRISKEE cherries too.

What do you think of the 'endzone decides' rules?
Our club unanimously agreed with this rule (dunno about the swap at half) but the endzone rule in general was a big hit with our team because our ladies are mongrels on defense and its great to be able to put 4 of them on a defense line to get the job done

If your team was stranded on a desert island and you could only take one other team from AMUC, which would it be and why?
Maybe Friskee so that Hello Newman actually has a chance of winning an AMUC
