NZMUC 2017 Preview:

UCUC Pythons

By team captain

UCUC Pythons are ready to constrict their way into our hearts at NZMUC2017, with an eye to clock some wins as they go

Team name

UCUC Pythons

Give us a short history of your team
Pythons are UCUC‘s development team, forging the Honey Badgers of the future. This will be our first appearance at NZMUC with a young team consisting of players from all three of of our NZUUC sides.
If you're a returning team, who's in and who's out from last years (or previous years) side?
Not returning.

What are your goals for the tournament?
Spirit comes first for Pythons. We’re not gonna weigh ourselves down with hefty expectations, we hope to build on our hard work and string some wins together.

How would you sum up your team in 3 words?
Beware the snakepit.

Who should we be looking out for?

Thomas Bourdin - this Uni Games champion has opted to play Pythons and carve it up as our spiciest handler.

Susanne Niehaus - only started slinging disc this year when T-Fray recruited her through Naaasty Women. Susanne is cash, be afraid.

Aim your pulls towards Callum McIntosh - he’s been working hard in 2017 to build a strong portfolio of drops at National tournaments.

Who are you most looking forward to playing?
Basically anyone who isn’t from Chch. Taranaki will be a cracking game!

What do you think of the 'endzone decides' rules?

Love it! Great change for the future of equity in the sport. We hope that UCUC can put together 50:50 teams at national tournaments starting next year.
In the event of a zombie apocalypse, which team do you think would be the first to go, and why? And who would you team up with?
We expect the vicious honey badger will tire itself out whilst the python endures, slowly defeating its enemies. We’ll join anyone who recognises this philosophy, together we can outlast the zombie horde.
