AMUC Div 1 Preview:

Sublime (WA)

By team captain

Very little is known about this Sublime team coming into AMUC 2017. Will they have what it takes to push the other WUCC hopefuls?

Team name

Sublime Ultimate Club

Give us a short history of your team

The Sublime Ultimate Club was first formed in 1932 after public concern over the number of emus running amok in the farming areas of Western Australia. The difficulties facing the farmers of Western Australia were increased by the arrival of over 20,000 emus. The emus consumed and spoiled their crops, eventually leading to the need for military action against these birds. A team of emu experts formed the Sublime Ultimate Club in order to devise strategic plans of attack against the dangerous birds. Unfortunately due to the excessive amount of Emu Expert consumption, the Sublime Ultimate Club were defeated on a number of occasions by the emus and the battle continues to this day. If you're a returning team, who's in and who's out from last years (or previous years) side?
The Sublime Ultimate Club has suffered a number of casualties over the years in their ongoing battle against the emus in Western Australia. We would like to send our condolences to the families of Emu Expert no. 157, Emu Expert no. 128, Emu Expert no. 97 and Emu Expert no. 67.

What are your goals for the tournament?

We believe we have made some extensive technological advancements over the last year and are very hopeful that these will finally stop the dreaded emu.

How would you sum up your team in 3 words?

 The Emu Experts

Who should we be looking out for?

Emu Expert no. 237, i.e. Mayziin Yong. She has knowledge of emus beyond belief and can nearly keep up with them too. She has been a loyal and trusted member of the Sublime Ultimate Club with her debut performance at the AOUCC, where are number of emus were found lurking on the pitches of Manila. May targeted the emus and prevented the spread of these pesky birds over the islands of the Philippines.

Emu Expert no. 196, i.e. Andrew Jennings. Andrew Jennings or AJ for short has been a long-time member of the Sublime Ultimate Club. His performances in battles from AUC 2013 to AUC 2017 were astounding and his contributions to this ongoing war have been second to none.

Who are you most looking forward to playing?

Look all we want to do is make sure these emus don't take over our country.

What do you think of the 'endzone decides' rules?

We think it's a great advancement to our sport and that it will result in teams coming up with creative solutions to problems, but most importantly it will help our country to overcome this emu epidemic.

If your team was stranded on a desert island and you could only take one other team from AMUC, which would it be and why?
We are stranded on a desert island and it's full of bloody emus!
